The Academy Hotel is a hotel which is run by local students from 25 schools. Working at the Academy Hotel is very challenging but also rewarding: training and coaching young professionals in training from different backgrounds and levels. You train our students for a future career in hospitality.
The Academy Hotel Curacao is currently recruiting for the position of: Junior Financial Controller
Financial Controller: Provides leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budgeting. Ensure company financial procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
This is a hands on job: you are the only professional in the finance department and together with student trainees you will have to execute and supervise all administrative activities.
Requirements for Financial Controller:
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Excellent knowledge of Computer programs (Word, Excel, Quickbooks)
• Should have a ( bachelors) degree in Finance or Accounting
• Should have a minimum of 3 years experience and have affinity with the hospitality sector
• Should be able to work in a young and dynamic team with challenges to organize the administration department.
• No 9-5 mentality , flexible , excellent communications skills and be able to work under pressure.
