STATEMENT BY ENRIQUE DE MARCHENA KALUCHE,PRESIDENT OF THE CARIBBEAN HOTEL AND TOURISM ASSOCIATION
.
The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) endorses and supports the renovated efforts of unity among Caribbean governments now being proposed by CTO tourism ministers.  The ministers meeting took place here just prior to the beginning of Caribbean Marketplace 2010.
And while CHTA supports this proposed unity, we strongly assert that it must be “unity for action” in order to have any meaning whatsoever.

The 8th MCB Platinum Card Curacao Tourist Open took place on December 26th, 2009 at Blue Bay Curacao where Team Marriott won the title, on the second place and the third place ended 'Floris Suite' and 'Crickey Amigu di Natura'. CHATA congratulates Team Marriott consisting of Rob and Tina Vermeulen, Willem van Hasselt and Jim Presto.

In previous months there has been invested considerably in the lifespan of the EENDRACHT, in order to protect the ship against sun, wind and water for years to come. But above all to use the ship for our mission statement to let youngsters actively experience all the aspects of sailing at sea and by that add value to the maritime world. The home port of the Eendracht is Rotterdam and in the winter period the ship sails to warmer destinations to make magnificent sailing trips. On October the 2nd, 2009 the Eendracht has departed from its home port to sail via Brest, Lisbon and Las Palmas to Curacao!
