Saturday, June 26th , the 12 finalists had an exciting competition when they had to make a main dish and a cocktail from a "Mystery Basket". For many of the of participants this was their first time competing in the Curacao Culinary.

This was quite an experience for them to be cooking and making cocktails in front of a public with ingredients from a "Mystery Basket".
The chefs were given 3.5 hours to make a main course on 4 plates.

The winners and also the Curacao Culinary Team 2010 are: Chef of the Year 2010, Anthony Carlos (Restaurant Nemo), Pastry Chef of the Year 2010 Rensley de Jongh (Avila Hotel), Junior Chef Adriyel Lourens (Avila hotel), cook team member: Franklin "Alex" Martha.
Bartender of the Year 2010, the young and talented: Anthony Santos from Breezes Hotel.
Under leadership of Frans Smits, as a team manager (chef of the Nemo Restaurant and Hemingway), the team will start this week with the weekly trainings.

The first Mystery Basket Cook Out for 40 guests will be held on Monday, July 12th at 19:00 at the Academy Hotel. During this evening, the four chefs and bartenders will make their first main dish and cocktail from a "Mystery Basket" as a team.
Guests are welcome to attend as this will  also be a fundraiser event to cover  the costs for the team to travel to Puerto Rico to represent Curacao in the Taste of the Caribbean.
For the price of Nafl 75.00 pp you will receive a 3 course menu and two glasses of wine.
