February 1st saw the successful launch of the Piscadera Security Watch, a neighborhood initiative of the major stakeholders in the Piscadera Area to provide the best possible security service for residents and visitors alike.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort, Hilton Curacao, Floris Suite Hotel and Hook’s Hut and coordinated by CHATA.
The initiative was joined by Caribbean Beach Resort, La Vista Resort, Piscadera Bay Resort, Restaurant Tempo Doeloe and the World Trade Center.
The Piscadera Security Watch is being executed by the Antilliaanse Veiligheids Dienst (AVD) and consists of the surveillance of the Piscadera Area by patrol car from 6.00 PM to 6.00 AM.
AVD security officers will be manning the patrol car and will be in close contact with participating stakeholders and with the AVD Alarm Central for possible response and back up in the Piscadera Area.
