Starting July 20th InselAir will postpone operations between Hato International airport, Curacao and Aeropuerto Internacional de Maiquetia, Caracas in the coming days.
Due to unknown reasons to InselAir, the airline was imposed to stop operating at the airport, located in Caracas. InselAir, which celebrated a successful inaugural flight Monday July 18th, will do everything in its power to accommodate passengers that already booked with the airline.
“We are working together with other airlines to accommodate all passengers who already booked a flight to or from Caracas with InselAir”, Mr. E. Heerenveen Chief General & International Affairs stated, “We are contacting all customers personally, to make sure nobody gets stranded. Mr. Heerenveen suggests that customers can call the InselAir call centers in Curacao +5999 737 0444 or the US 1800 386 4800 for more information. People who booked with a travel agent can best ask their travel agent for information.
“Benefits such as flying miles from our Insel StarMiles program will still be awarded, as well as all other benefits one receives with an InselAir ticket”, Mr. Heerenveen concluded.
InselAir will cease all flights between the two destinations for the coming days, but is looking to restart the route very soon. Heerenveen states, “Our representatives in Venezuela are working round the clock to get this operation back in the air. We already invested a lot in this route and would prefer to start flying it again as soon as possible.”
The airline would like to remind all passengers who already booked a ticket for the route between Curacao – Caracas to contact InselAir or their travel agent as soon as possible.
